St Mary’s Parish Church: The service celebrating 25 years of the Link last Sunday at 3pm. Beautiful service, the church was packed with members from various religions who have supported the Link venture over the years. Nice to get together for a chat over a cup of tea and refreshments.

St Wilfrid’s & St George’s After the 10am Mass on Wednesday 27th November, Edmund Ginn’s Ashes will be interned in our Garden of Remembrance. Anyone who knew dear Edmund is welcome to attend this little ceremony, followed by refreshments in the hall. We all know how Edmund enjoyed his food, especially cake! So Bridie felt it fitting that we have a little party in his honour.
The Winter Night Shelter throughout Eastbourne
The Winter Night Shelter throughout Eastbourne commences the beginning of December and Our Lady of Ransom opens its hall doors each Tuesday evening for up to 15 guests. One of the options available each Tuesday night is a Foot Care Specialist who offers her services to each guest. It has been suggested that new Mens winter socks would be greatly received. Also, Mens used shoes in good condition (ideally, a trainer type) would be most welcome. Any Womens shoes, again preferably a trainer type in good condition would also be gratefully received. There will be a box at each church for any donations for the next two weeks. Many thanks.

St Wilfrid’s Bereavement Mass last Sunday at 3pm
St Wilfrid’s Bereavement Mass last Sunday at 3pm: This was very well attended. Lovely to see some of our housebound parishioners being brought to the service, and after tea and cakes in the hall, where they could chat to friends they hadn’t seen for some time. We would like this beautiful service more often. It was lovely to meet up with our friends from St George’s who attended and enjoyed the service so much with us. |
