Altar Server Practice: Could I appeal to all teenage and adult altar servers to attend a rehearsal for the Easter Vigil Service on Good Friday at 5 pm at St Wilfrid’s. A minimum of 6 servers required to fulfil all the liturgical activities required for this extremely important Liturgy.
Vigil Mass for St Patrick’s night
St Wilfrid’s Church: The vigil mass next Saturday, 16th, at St Wilfrid’s will include prayers to honour St Patrick and for continued peace in the north of Ireland along with prayers for Irish people and their associates across the world.
Healing Mass at St Wilfrid’s
Healing Mass at St Wilfrid’s: There will be a healing mass ending with solemn Benediction every Wednesday morning at 10am in Hailsham during the Lenten period, starting this coming Wednesday. This is not to be confused with a Sacramental healing service. The oil used on the Wednesdays is the oil of gladness and as such this service of healing is open to anyone who feels they would like to be prayed over them. The priest will also impose his hands on your head. You can also act as a proxy for someone who is ill in your family and cannot be present. The mass will of course be extended and may take around 45 minutes in total. Tea and Coffee will be available in the hall afterwards.
First Holy Communion
The First Holy Communion lesson will be at 6:30pm this Friday in the hall.
