East Sussex Young Care Leavers Christmas, donation request:
Each year our team of staff have been able to cook and serve a Christmas meal, give small Christmas gifts and create a happy and positive experience for 200 of our local care leavers aged between 16-25 yrs and in some cases also their own children. They often find Christmas a very difficult and isolating time and sadly they do not have the usual support networks that makes Christmas a special time for many.
We are collecting small gifts or items suitable to include in our fundraising Christmas raffle, or if you are thinking of a financial donation, however small, please write a cheque payable to East Sussex County Council and pass to Jackie in the office. Thank you in advance.

October – Month of the Holy Rosary
October has long been dedicated to the Holy Rosary, a prayer which draws us into the life of Christ through the eyes of His Blessed Mother. The Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated on 7th October, recalling the Church’s gratitude for Mary’s powerful intercession throughout history.
During this month, we are especially encouraged to take up the Rosary—whether individually, as a family, or in community—entrusting our joys, struggles, and intentions to Our Lady, who always leads us to her Son.
Let us make a special effort this October, to pray the Rosary more often, asking Our Lady of the Rosary to strengthen our faith, bring peace to our world, and draw us closer to Christ. Please join us before weekday masses to recite the Rosary.
St Wilfrid’s & St George’s
Please don’t forget we have tea/coffee/cake available in the hall after Sunday and weekday masses. Get to know your fellow parishioners and have a chat over tea. We have noticed several new faces in our congregation, so please come and get to know us.
