St George’s Church

What a lovely Sunday we had at St George’s.   A Mass especially for Deacon John in thanksgiving on his 90th birthday. The beautifully prepared crown made by our Children’s Liturgy Group to crown Our Lady in the garden after Mass followed by a sumptuous breakfast in the hall, delicious birthday cake; all washed down with a toast of Prosecco (non alcoholic available too)! Thank you to the “cooks and bottlewashers” for your hard work and to everyone who showed their appreciation of John, Tessa and their family on his special day.

Eucharistic Miracles Exhibition

The exhibition on Eucharistic  Miracles inspired by Blessed Carlo Acutis is at Christ the King Church Langney from Sat 17th May to Sun 1st June. A special family/youth presentation by Fr Neil will take place on Saturday 24th May at 11:00am, followed by Adoration and refreshments in the hall. Posters and flyers with full details are available in the church entrance.

St George’s Meeting – 1st June

St George’s Meeting Sunday, June 1st:  The second of St George’s quarterly church meetings will take place after Mass on Sunday, June 1st. Minutes from the previous meeting are available in the file at the back of the church. These meetings are an important opportunity for our community to share, reflect, and move forward together in prayer, formation, and mission. Tea and coffee will be served first.

Thank You

Deacon John and Tessa wish to say a real thank you to all who made my birthday so memorable. Thank you for the gifts, the cards and for being there. The singing of happy birthday twice, once in the church and once in the hall was particularly good! I am sure that all enjoyed the   catering for the party – sausage and bacon baps cooked by the excellent chef, the two cakes and everything else were superb. I particularly enjoyed the bacon and sausage bap – thankyou.  Love John and Tessa.
