Comedy & Carols
We have organised a special festive treat for the parish. Join us for a night of Comedy & Carols on Friday, 12th December at St Wilfrid’s.

Remembering Our Loved Ones in November:
During the month of November, we all remember and pray for all our departed loved ones. At St George’s you are invited to write the names of your family members and friends who have died on the heart-shaped cards in the basket at the altar. These names will be added to our Prayer Board as we hold them in love and prayer throughout the month.
St Wilfrid’s Lucky Bags
These will be on sale at the “Comedy & Carols” evening on Fri 12th Dec and after all masses in our hall after that date. Adults £2, Children £1, prize every time. Profits go towards children’s liturgy expenses.
Over 50’s Afternoon Tea & Games
As our December meeting will fall on Christmas Day, we shall hold our party on Thurs 27th Nov, 2-4pm. Then meet again on Thurs 29th January 2026. Anyone over 50 is welcome to join our merry group, just turn up on the day. You will be very welcome.
Linking Lives Eastbourne
Linking Lives Eastbourne are looking for a Grant Coordinator to work part-time and join their Admin Team for 10 hours per month. Work flexibility around Grant schedules (at least two sessions per month) home-based with regular meetings with the Team via Zoom or in person. Salary upon request. Community Charity Breakfast
Our next breakfast will be Sun 30th November after mass at St George’s – when we will be supporting The Royal British Legion. We hope you, your family and friends can support this.
CAFOD Harvest Appeal
Thank you to all who supported and contributed towards CAFOD’s Harvest Appeal this year. Your kindness through the Family Fast Day envelopes, the produce sale, the ploughman’s lunch and community breakfast has helped us raise £661 so far. We are so grateful for your generosity.
The money raised will help fund CAFOD’s work with local partners, including providing:
Safe water to families like Waré’s in Ethiopia, where underground water tanks are built to store rainwater.
Emergency aid to neighbours affected by conflicts, such as those in Ukraine and Sudan

Blessing of Graves
Deacon John will bless the graves in the memorial garden at St George’s after mass on Tuesday November 4th and then go to do the same at Willingdon Cemetery. Fr Rory will bless the graves at Hailsham after mass on Wednesday November 5th.
