A beautiful array of produce was displayed around the altar with a  special theme of “Water”, and how we cannot live without it. All the items were carried after mass by our children with the help of some grown ups to the tables outside and sold.  This was a huge success and all proceeds went to CAFOD.

Harvest Ploughman’s Lunch At St Wilfrid’s – Sunday 5th October

To round off our harvest celebrations, St Wilfrid’s will be hosting a Harvest Ploughman’s Lunch after the 10.30 Mass this Sunday 5th October.  All proceeds going to CAFOD.  Let’s give thanks, celebrate together, and share God’s abundance — near and far.

Quiz Night at St Wilfrid’s:  We will be holding a Quiz Night on Friday 17th October 2025, 7pm start.  There will be a main quiz, picture quiz and raffle.  Prize for the best table name and lucky ticket prize.  Please bring your own nibbles and alcoholic drinks.  Entry £5 (6 to a table).  Please support this event if you can.
 

From this Monday 29^th September at 2-30pm, the Rosary Group will commence with a short Eucharistic service for those wishing to receive Holy Communion. The Rosary with the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be prayed following this. Both will be held in the church. This will be followed by refreshments in the hall. All are welcome to join us.

St Thomas a Becket Catholic Primary School warmly invite parents of children due to start school for the first time in September 2026 to our open day on Wednesday 5th   November. The Diocese of A&B is renewing and developing its Adoration Lay Committee in order to increase the practice of Eucharistic Adoration in parishes throughout the diocese.  You are welcome to attend an Information Meeting.  On Thursday 2nd October, at 8pm, for one hour.  Registration from 7pm, includes light     refreshments.  In St Philip Howard Centre, Crawley RH10 6RP.  For further details – See poster in the church.

Children’s liturgy: Both our churches offer regular children’s liturgy during term time.

¨ A gentle reminder for parents: please complete registration forms

¨ Children under 5 should be accompanied by a parent or carer.

¨ We urgently need new leaders—full training and support is provided, please speak to Teresa (St W) or Mary (St G) for more details.

¨ We also need Doorkeepers —volunteers who help escort the children safely to and from the hall and encourage them during the storytelling. Please add your name to the rota.
