Mothering Sunday at St Wilfrid’s

Mothering Sunday at St Wilfrid’s:  A very big THANK YOU to everyone who arranged and organised this Happy Mass.  The children really enjoyed their readings, prayers and musical hymns, such a variety of bells, tambourines and shakers for the final hymn, even Fr Kieran was seen shaking a maraca to the music.  Then the children handed out a beautiful yellow rose to all the ladies.  A special “Mothering Sunday” cake was washed down with a cuppa in the hall afterwards.

Drawing Competition

Don’t forget the competition arranged by Sophie who has brought the website up-to-date and interesting to follow.  Adults and children, please draw a picture to do with the subject you would like to see included in our new website.  It can be any subject you like.  Winners will be announced on Easter Sunday, when the prize of a large Easter Egg will be given and the picture put on our website.   Please put your name on the back of the picture.  Good Luck.

Healing Mass at St Wilfrid’s

Healing Mass at St Wilfrid’s:  There will be a healing mass ending with solemn Benediction every Wednesday morning at 10am in Hailsham during the Lenten period, starting this coming Wednesday.  This is not to be confused with a Sacramental healing service. The oil used on the Wednesdays is the oil of gladness and as such this service of healing is open to anyone who feels they would like to be prayed over them.  The priest will also impose his hands on your head.  You can also act as a proxy for someone who is ill in your family and cannot be present.  The mass will of course be extended and may take around 45 minutes in total.  Tea and Coffee will be available in the hall afterwards.
