You may have noticed a large plastic box in our porch marked “Gift Bags & Gifts” to go in them. Although we are not holding this very popular event until after our Carol Service in December (Date TBC). We would like to make this event even bigger this year, so we will need more “Gift Bags” please, plus any gifts, just place them in the box. Thank you. Money raised will go towards our Children’s Liturgy.

Funeral Mass for Sheila Jury:
All of us who attended this moving service did so to remember our Sheila, a lovely lady, so bubbly and generous. She is sadly missed by all of us, especially at Sunday & weekday masses and in the hall over a cuppa and chat. Thank you Darcy for inviting us to a reception in our hall. It was a privilege to see all her family mingling with us. A big thank you to Leslie and her team, you did a great job of arranging a full buffet. A collection was made in her honour for St Wilfrid’s Hospice, a very worthwhile cause.
Children’s Liturgy:
Parents, please bring your children aged 4–10 to our Children’s Liturgy, held Sundays in term time at both St George’s and St Wilfrid’s. It’s a joyful way for children to hear the Sunday Gospel and take part in creative activities that help them grow in faith.
Save the Date
We have organised a special festive treat for the parish. Join us for a night of Comedy & Carols on Friday, 12th December at St Wilfrid’s.
We’re delighted to welcome comedian and writer Paul Karensa, who will bring laughter and festive joy to this special celebration.
World Mission Sunday

Please pray for missionaries and give what you can to this vital collection, bringing God’s compassion, peace and justice to those in need. To donate, use the Missio envelope, call 020 7821 9755 (office hours) or visit mission.org.uk to give a gift, set up a Direct Debit and Gift Aid your donation if possible.

East Sussex Young Care Leavers Christmas, donation request:
Each year our team of staff have been able to cook and serve a Christmas meal, give small Christmas gifts and create a happy and positive experience for 200 of our local care leavers aged between 16-25 yrs and in some cases also their own children. They often find Christmas a very difficult and isolating time and sadly they do not have the usual support networks that makes Christmas a special time for many.
We are collecting small gifts or items suitable to include in our fundraising Christmas raffle, or if you are thinking of a financial donation, however small, please write a cheque payable to East Sussex County Council and pass to Jackie in the office. Thank you in advance.
