Pope Leo’s prayer intention for November is for the proper use of wealth. Let us pray that, not succumbing to the temptation of selfishness, wealth may always be put at the service of the common good and solidarity with those who have less.

The Knights of St Columba meet at 7.45pm on Friday 13^th November at Our Lady of Ransom. We invite all men to come, especially those who would like to help their Church.

St Wilfrid’s Christmas Fair – Saturday 14th November

Our Christmas Fair is next week, and preparations are well underway!  A big thank you to everyone who has already donated items or offered their help.  Your generosity is much appreciated.

There is still time to help make the fair a success, and we are particularly looking for:

• Homemade Cakes – any donations would be very welcome.
• Christmas books, DVDs, and CDs – if you have any you no longer need, we would be delighted to receive them.
• A helping hand on the day – we still need a couple more volunteers to help run stalls. Even an hour of your time would make a real difference, so please do consider joining us!

We also have one craft stall still available, so if you know some- one who makes and sells crafts and might like to have a stall at the fair, please put them in touch with us.  If you can help in anyway, please E: [email protected]                                         

Thank you again for your continued support.  With a little help from everyone, we can make this a lovely occasion for our parish and wider community.  Look forward to seeing you there!                     

Catholic Women’s League – West Hub Join us on Wednesday 4th November at 7pm, Christ the King, Langney, meeting room at the rear of the hall. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month. All ladies welcome!

For all deceased clergy and parishioners in the deanery, 11am Tuesday 10th November at Our Lady Immaculate & St Michael, Battle (TN33 0EG) – please support this whole deanery mass, all are welcome to attend.  

Advent is a special time in the Church’s year, when we prepare our hearts and minds for the celebration of Christmas. Why not take a little time out from the busyness of everyday life to join us for Journey Through Advent 2026?

We will be holding a series of one-hour reflections at St Wilfrid’s Church, Hailsham, at 10.30 am on Wednesdays 25th November 2nd, 9th and 16th December. These sessions will offer an opportunity to pause, reflect on the meaning of Advent, and prepare spiritually for the coming of Christ.

Everyone is warmly welcome, and we would love you to join us.
